Life = Full of Choices

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.” I really like this quote by Mark Twain. I cherish the memories of the chances I took in life and regret the ones I didn’t. If there is one thing I have learned in the past couple years it has to be this!

Life is full of many choices. Some we take, others we pass up. At the end of the day, I would rather look back and find joy in knowing I chose the best option.

Choices in life exist because every decision we make in life affects everything we do from then on out. The butterfly affect is a great example of this. Our life here has a reason and all of us have a purpose, it just depends on whether or not you will take it.

When I was little I didn’t realize it but accepting Christ into my life started a chain of events that would make me who I am today. That moment in my life lead to me going on 3 mission trips in the past 2 and half years that would open up my eyes even more to what life was all about.

Life had a meaning and it was because of one man’s decision to save the rest of humanity. You can believe whatever you want but I know deep down this decision I made changed my life for the better. The choices you make define who you are! What do you want to do with your life?

I hope you can see throughout the next few months the choices some Christian’s I know made and the outcomes that they would get out of their experiences.Make your choice, adventurous Stranger, Strike the bell and bide the danger, Or wonder, till it drives you mad, What would have followed if you had.”-C.S. Lewis

Tips for Getting the Grade You Want

Life is a mission and when in college your mission and goal in every class is to get an “A” or just pass the class. Sure everyone won’t admit it but we want it! Maybe it’t not an “A”, hopefully it’s just to pass this class but while in college I have noticed we need to do a lot in every class if your really want to earn that grade you want and desire.

I will share with you 5 tips I have done in every class I have to prepare myself to get the grade I desire! Maybe you know most of these things but truly apply them to your life and you will see a difference in the classes you have and who knows, your grades may even go up!

1. Show Up

Show Up

No matter if attendance is required or not you need to show up for class. There’s a reason why the professors give lectures every week! Whether, you’re staying for college or not you need to understand the importance of showing up to class. Not going to class can affect what you take out of it. Who knows you may go to a class that changes your life! Imagine what would happen if you just showed up?

2. Take Notes

Take Notes

This can go along with showing up to class. To really learn and get the most out of lectures, you need to take notes on what is said and shown during class. Sure it’s a lot of writing and/or typing but by doing this simple task you will remember more and when studying have notes to go back on to help you understand a concept or question!

3. Actually Read the Book

Read Book

You probably hate the book for whatever class it is and I am right there with you, but I have noticed a lot that is said in lectures usually connects with what’s going on in the book! Theres a reason behind why the book you get is so bulky. Sure you may not read every chapter but the book can be a good teacher when you are away from the class. It probably can’t answer all your questions but you would be surprised what you find.

4. Study For Class

No I don’t mean study the night before the exam but I do mean study every week leading up to the exam so that you truly will know the material that will be on the exam! By just studying week by week, you will be able to know what is going on in class and when the exam rolls around you’ll be able to walk in confident probably knowing more than most!

5. Ask The Professor

Just Ask

The Professor is there for you to ask questions! Sure you may feel very dumb but I would rather feel dumb and ask a question then just wait until the exam happens and then you may be stuck not knowing the answer. It never hurts to ask the professor!

Maybe you will use these tips, maybe you won’t. Just always know they’ll be here if you truly want to figure out how to get the grade you want!

Vienna is known for some of the best food you will ever try in your life, well at least that  is what I think. The main dish you will find at many restaurants around the city is Schnitzel! You won’t regret eating anything you try there. Come for the food, stay for the chocolate!

The picture above is St. Stephens Cathedral which is located in the center of the city. It is the focal point of the city to be more specific. This is a must see in Vienna!

Extra: The Catacombs- Located in the basement of       St. Stephen’s Cathedral

The Catacombs is one of the coolest things you’ll see in Vienna. Most of these bones date back all the way to the prehistoric times. The site seen above is home to some bones that are from the Black Plague which ravaged through Europe in the 14th century!

3. The Historic Landmarks

If you like touring historic landmarks and sites then this is the place for you! The city is known for its imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, and the Habsburgs’ summer residence.
